Hi, I’m Mae!
I’m an illustrator who loves bringing stories to life through texture, color, and detail. My work is rooted in creative storytelling, and I enjoy researching and weaving small, thoughtful elements into each piece. I’m especially drawn to fantasy themes, where I can use lighting, palettes, and whimsical touches to create a sense of wonder and connection.
I’m currently a nontraditional student at the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) in Baltimore, where I’m expanding my skills in illustration and hand lettering with a special interest in book cover design. I’m passionate about finding new ways to blend text and image seamlessly, always aiming to create work that feels alive and imaginative.
Beyond the studio, I’m an avid reader (200+ books a year!) and find constant inspiration in nature, patterns, and storytelling across all forms. When I’m not sketching or designing, I’m enjoying life with my husband and our four dogs, who keep me both grounded and endlessly entertained.
